It's time! First-Gen Week is here! Charlotte celebrates National First-Generation College Student Day (November 8) all week! From November 4-10, get excited to meet and greet with other First-Generation Niners, get some free swag, and celebrate your First-Generation Identity. If you attend 2 or more events during this week you will have a chance to receive a IAmAFirstGenNiner T-Shirt.
Calling all First-Gen Niner storytellers! Share your First-Gen story for other First-Generation Niners to see and know they aren't alone.
Come to the Atkins Library to view the special display of books by and/or about First-Generation college students located on the Popular Reading Collection shelves by the 1st-floor entrance.

So you like playing games? Join us for a First-Gen Family Feud! Stop by the First-Gen Game Night and kick back and have some fun with board games, activities, and more. Come solo or bring friends. We will have pizza available at this game night for the first hour (or until we run out).
First-Generation Cookout, Star Quad/West Quad 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.
It’s National First-Generation College Celebration Day! Come to the cookout! You bring the vibes, we have the food! With a DJ, giveaways, food, and more, the cookout will be the highlight of your week!

First-Generation Graduation Celebration, McKnight Hall, Lucas Room, 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m.
It’s so hard to say goodbye, but it’s easy when we know your future is paved with Gold! Calling all First-Gen graduates for our First-Generation Graduation Celebration. Bring your family and friends, and celebrate being First. At this celebration we will have cords, keynotes, and a dessert reception all for you and your supporters!
