Karen Shaffer

While neither of my parents went to college, my mom knew it was the path my brother and I needed to take and encouraged us before we even started grade school. This was one of the greatest gifts my mom gave me. I found my passion for cocurricular education while I was in college and have turned it into a career. Between a supportive family and outstanding faculty, staff, and fellow student mentors, I not only made it through undergraduate and graduate degree programs, I joined the field of student affairs professionals with the desire to support other students as they become who they choose to be.
