Caitlyn Wright

I grew up knowing I wanted to go to college. Though my family was often supportive, they were not able to help me much along the path because they had never been on that path themselves. I remember applying for colleges and the FAFSA, and I would voice questions out loud to hear one of my parents say, "I don't know, but I'm sure you'll figure it out". I am making new norms for my family. I was the first of my family to graduate high school, I am the first of my family to attend college, and I will be the first of my family to graduate college. I am a first generation Niner, and I am prouder of nothing else.
